Integrated Silicon Solution, Inc., Now Fully Live on Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 for High Tech

(NASDAQ: ISSI), a leader in advanced memory solutions, has expanded its implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX® for High Tech to its Taiwan design and production site. ISSI originally implemented the system in December 2007 at its U.S., China and Hong Kong sites to support an outsourced manufacturing model based on joint technology relationships with several key Asian foundries and subcontract manufacturers.

Prior to implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX for High Tech, ISSI was operating multiple disparate systems that made conducting business across global business units challenging. Today the company uses a single global database with multiple companies using intercompany orders, multi currency and multi site functionality within Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Complementing the company's core engineering and product management teams in the U.S., more than 350 employees at its China and Taiwan sites design, produce and test high-speed and low-power SRAM, low- and medium-density DRAM devices, and EEPROM and Smartcard products for all worldwide markets. Its products must meet exacting technical standards, and operational processes must comply with multiple government regulations.

In its make-to-order and engineer-to-order manufacturing environment, many ISSI products are unique to a specific customer. Consequently, ISSI offers a large number of different products to its customers, and the product management cycle is extremely complicated and requires a very sophisticated ERP system to manage the process efficiently.
